Challenge

We were asked to work closely with Business West to help them understand their users needs and to assist them in transforming their online service offering and transition towards being a ‘digital first’ organisation.

KEY TO SUCCESS WAS…

Business West’s service offering is vast, helping and assisting businesses in virtually every way they could need. Making sure  the right users accessed the right information and relevant services in a quick and easy way was essential when designing their user experience.

Approach

The first step was a comprehensive Discovery and Planning exercise to help Business West define the project scope and website requirements.

Nudge conducted internal stakeholder engagement exercises throughout the wider business to determine and distil the main internal business drivers and goals. We also conducted extensive external end-user stakeholder workshops, focus groups, surveys and user testing to inform our thinking and provide evidence-based recommendations around user’s needs.

In keeping with Business West’s agreed objectives and new digital strategy, the new website moved away from a service-led approach and focused on becoming a highly user-focused resource using content personalisation.

By adopting this change in strategy and thinking, the website has become more useful, more relevant to users, and most of all, more effective.
